Community of Practice
Ideas Day
Join us for a session where new Communities take shape!
When: Wednesday 15th April 2026 1-2.30pm AEST
Topics up for discussion on the day:
(note that this list will continue to be updated as new Community ideas are proposed)
Breakout Room 1 | Breakout Room 2 | Breakout Room 3 |
| In-system Disposal - a battle of wills | Environmental Sustainability & IT | UX and Service Design |
Breakout Room 4 | Breakout Room 5 | |
| Business Relationship Management | Digital Accessibility |
Purpose of the day:
- Provide a platform for practitioners from CAUDIT member organisations to share their ideas on topics (not already captured in existing CAUDIT Communities) that they are interested in forming a Community on.
- Through participation in the day, start growing a network of practitioners with a common interest in that topic.
After the Ideas Day:
New Community ideas will be given a dedicated channel within the CAUDIT Special Interest Groups (MS) Team to continue conversations and to schedule their next sessions. This provides a forum for engagement and a way to ascertain ongoing momentum for the topic before transitioning to a full Community of Practice.
How to participate in the Communities Ideas Day:
Register for the session here!
- For those wanting to suggest a topic/idea for a new Community of Practice: Please send through your topic and confirm your availability to facilitate discussion during the session to cassandra.spencer@caudit.edu.au . Please note that new ideas cannot be started on the day but don't worry, if you miss out on starting a new topic discussion we will hold another session later in the year. Presenters do not need to share a formal presentation but need to be prepared to host/facilitate discussion and share their thoughts in their breakout room. During the session, each presenter will: Provide an overview of the topic and its relevance to them and their role. This may include a ‘state of play’ from their institution’s perspective. Capture a list of discussion points and ideas for future sessions. Call for volunteers for next session and potentially lock in a date.
